Terry Carlson passed away at the age of 76 on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was a teacher, wife, parent, camper, and a great friend. Terry took her last breath with her daughter by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents Paul M Boudreau and Mary Claire Barry Boudreau.
Terry was also predeceased by her husband Peter B Carlson and their longtime canine companion Molly McBucket.
She is survived by her canine companion Toby, her daughter Kristin C Carlson and her partner Paul M Lydon.
She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Donald LaRue, Wayne Randall, Mary Montgomery and her brother P. Michael BBoudreau.
Terry was a lifelong learner and educator. Every moment was a teachable moment! She shared her joy and passion with her students. Long after she retired from the Central Falls School Department, people would approach her and say, “Are you Mrs. Carlson? Do you remember me? She would ask them to tell her the year they were in her class (if they hadn’t told them her name yet). She would then ponder and say, “Yes!! You’re ____!” She was right every time! They would smile in a way that everyone could tell how special she made them feel.

Terry was a very social person. She accepted every invitation that she could to social events, joined clubs at work, and found her larger community through camping in the summer at Worden’s Pond, Card’s Campground, and Greenwood Hill. She supported every friend, team, and organization she was part of. She was valued as a friend and resource. Have a question, ask Terry!

Terry wanted people to be together. To share the joy and adventure that life has to offer. She would take people on “adventures”. This adventure could be a llama farm, an amazing holiday display, you might wake up next to lions, or discover the dark recess of a basement. They were always exciting and the stories would be told for years!

If you would like to celebrate her life by sharing stories with others, you are invited to her wake on Wednesday January 31, 2024 4:00pm-7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI.
Terry requested a Mass of Christian Burial which will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2024 at The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02904. This will be followed by a brief Committal Service at the Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery 12:00 pm 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822.
In lieu of flowers donations to Tunnels to Towers Foundation in honor of Terry Carlson are appreciated at https://t2t.org/
A celebration of life will be scheduled during the summer of 2024. Everyone is welcomed.
